I really like this one, that intro is nice and that bass is a beast, at times a little too hairy for my tastes but good work!

Voltus responds:

Thank you :)

While the sound design and mixing sounds pretty good, i couldnt help but feel the arrangement is over crowded and alot of the different sounds seem to just mesh into each other and not really have much impact because theres not enough space for them to breath. I like the pads and atmospheres you got going on, it does have that epic vibe, but there really needs to be more groove going on with the basses imo. Groove is not just about what you put in but also what you leave out.

Xtrullor responds:

Thanks for the input. This is definitely one of the aspects of music I've disregarded a lot, and it's time to fix it.

The mix quality is sounding pretty good to me. What do you mix on man? It is a bit too repetitive to me melody-wise. I guess thats what this genre is usually like? the rises and falls work really nicely but i feel that you could of mixed it up and maybe added an unusual spin to this style of music.

EctiBot responds:

Glad you liked the mix :D. I just use Fl-studio native plugins like parametric EQ and a bit soundgoodiser to mix. You're right with repetetiveness. I wanted to try doing this genre by the book, then trying to add my own twists later ;).
Thx for the feedback :D.

I like where your going with it but I think those drums need to be abit more upfront and present though.

DESHIEL responds:

That is my goal aswel, but I will adjust thier frequency when I'm done with the whole composition, because more sounds might come in next update.

i like this, it really does have that anime sound to it. While im not a big fan of this genre i enjoyed this. I think the drums could do with more going on though they seem a little bland to me. Im not sure what you did with the melody but at one point it either changed key or you used an augmented interval in there and it really gave it some flavour. Good work!

DuttonsaysHi responds:

Yeah, right now it's just a simple Kick-snare set. I had a hard time finding the right hats and percussion for this. Whenever I tried to add any new loops or percussion it came out muddier than it is.

Yes! the last part changes key from D to E. I just shifted the entire song up a key.

Thanks!

This sounds really well mixed. I'm actually quite surprised that you used 3xosc for some of those sounds, its all massive these days. I really enjoyed the ambiance in this track, and although i dont usually enjoy this kind of genre this track was an excepton to that :)

SkyeWint responds:

's all Massive these days, except when it's Harmor. Glad you found this was an exception to not liking the genre!

I like the deep sounding pads, they sound nice and wide and warm. That sweep that comes in in the intro sounds much too loud and over powering to me though. I enjoyed the main melodies when they come in and the leads in the pumping chorus are nice. It does sound like there's too much high end in that section though, not sure if its white noise or cymbals but i think cutting some of those down would balance it out a bit. Good Job

Exilious responds:

Thank you very much! The high end you're hearing is actually coming from the closed hat and the pads. When I EQed the pads, I turned up the high a little bit, but also deepened it for some balance. I could go in fix it later.

But thank you very much for the feedback! I'm glad it was to your liking! :D

i love it :)

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot man! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Cool melodies man, i see you got the skrillex lead in there lol. Drums seem a bit weak and overpowered by the rest of the instruments. I still like it.

Pandasticality responds:

yeah ai agree, this is a year old tune, theres a ton of tips n tricks i didnt know back then so theres a ton of flaws in this tune.

I like the melodies, leads and those basses are dirty, especially that first one that comes in. Did you resample some fm patch for that? Theres two things i think could help strengthen this track, firstly the woodwind type sound for me doesnt really work that well, i think a violin or viola would be better suited here. Secondly harmony, i think use could deffinitely harmonize some parts a bit more to bring out a more intense feel, maybe by a 3rd or an octave.

Pandasticality responds:

great feedback, thank you, really helps, im learning every step i go, il keep those tips in mind as i go on.
