Its catchy and the melodies are nice, i dont really like those bass patches you have used though, theyre not expressive and phat enough for this genre really. Drums sound nice a fat though, but unfortunatly the mix seems a bit too busy imo.

Cool melodies man, i see you got the skrillex lead in there lol. Drums seem a bit weak and overpowered by the rest of the instruments. I still like it.

Pandasticality responds:

yeah ai agree, this is a year old tune, theres a ton of tips n tricks i didnt know back then so theres a ton of flaws in this tune.

I like the melodies, leads and those basses are dirty, especially that first one that comes in. Did you resample some fm patch for that? Theres two things i think could help strengthen this track, firstly the woodwind type sound for me doesnt really work that well, i think a violin or viola would be better suited here. Secondly harmony, i think use could deffinitely harmonize some parts a bit more to bring out a more intense feel, maybe by a 3rd or an octave.

Pandasticality responds:

great feedback, thank you, really helps, im learning every step i go, il keep those tips in mind as i go on.

I like those chuggy guitar sections, reminds me of metallica. Some of the guitar playing sounds a bit sloppy/slightly out of time to me though. I do like the riffs and If you want some good software amps i would recommend guitar rig. But if you want a free one look up poulin le456, i use that one occasionally and it does the job. Btw what software do you use for drums?

Wilhiemthe2nd responds:

I use EZ Drummer for my drums, no external add ons.
I have looked up the poulin le456, though at the time the server was clogged so I couldnt really get my hands on it.

Also I need to learn to record my guitar lines AFTER I write my bass and Drums. Cause Apperently I'm not so good at following just a metronome, haha.

Loved donkey kong country, and really like this remix, usually im not into this sort of thing. Good job man.

I like the these tunes mate, all sounds top notch!

8BitPICE responds:

Thanks man!

This is a cool tune, catchy melodys and a good drum beat. The melody could do with more variation though in my opinion. Other than that i like it.

Sounds are all pretty good. It really sounds mixed well on my headphones. The hat that is playing in the right ear could go down abit in volume in my opinion. The song flows really nicely and the breakdowns are simple but offer some needed variation. I think the drums could do with more variation and fills in there too and maybe some more filtering going on in places to mix it up abit.

Chemiqals responds:

Thanks for the feedback! =)

This could fit well into a games menu i think. Or something chilled out like ilo milo on 360. Anyway not bad, all the sounds work well together, could probably do with a bit of variation. like a part that sounds like its playing under water with some low pass filtering and some reverb/chorus/delays etc. Thats my two pence.

EctiBot responds:

Glad you liked it. Agree that this need more variation, though I probably wont go back to it in the near future. Thx for the review :)
