As much as i love this site, which has a great community and its yearly competitions to par-take in something bothers me about Newgrounds that i have noticed over the recent years. That thing is exposure, or at least how its distributed and managed here on the site. I see week after week /month after month/ year after year the same artists popping up on the front page. Don't get me wrong though, these guys make good content and deserve your attention but what this creates is a very cliquey group. Where those who are well known continue to take the limelight and this ultimately means those lesser-known artists barely see the light of day.
I know a typical response to this would be ''you gotta take part in the competitions and be an active user to get exposure!'' Well i have done those things, i have entered many a competition and been an active forum poster as well as uploading when i can, to see very few results. The thing is i'm not just speaking for just myself but also others i have seen in a similar situation over the years and i'm no newbie to Newgrounds, having been here since 2013 ish. Its true that i haven't been that active here in recent times but mainly its due to a sense of futility i feel when trying to promote my music here.
I know this is a bit of a rant but i figured since its unlikely this will be read by anyone i can just use it as a way to get something off my mind without offending people.
I appreciate any support that i have had through newgrounds and have had some good fun taking part in competitions, however i felt it had to be said.

Hey guys, I have reached 100 fans on NG and over 300 on Soundcloud as a result I'm just posting to let you know that i'm offering a FREE mix/master service for your music. The intention is to help you improve your mixes whilst improving my own mixing + mastering skills. This will be a limited time kind of thing for the month of febuary, as a way of giving something back.
Heres what im offering:
* Brief feedback on your track prior to mixing so we can fix any issues that may be due to the arrangement or sound design/samples or anything thats bothering you.
* Full mix of your track
* Full master of your track
I can work on edm/chiptune/Chill genres. If its cinematic/orchestral or ambient work you would be better off looking elsewhere.
You choose if you just want a mix, master or both.
So if you are interested link me to your track so i can let you know if its something i can work with. If i accept i will require you to send me stems of the individual tracks within your project, or if you are an FL 12 user you could send the project file if we have the same plug-ins etc.
Heres a link to one of my most recent mixes/masters for your reference:
Any questions feel free to ask.

Hey, its been a long time since i wrote anything here, its also been a long time since i posted any music. I think part of the reason for that is i feel nobody reads it so whats the point? :p
The last time i posted some music it was for a couple of commission tracks back in january, give it a listen if your at a loose end. I have been struggling to put the time in to finish any music in the last few months. What with a holiday in cornwall and other distractions not to mention a massive lack of inspiration i felt like it would be best to put the music to one side for a while untill... the newgrounds audio underdog comp has came round again and its deffinitly sparked my imagination once more. While i always feel a bit overshadowed with the audio death match what with all the Orchestral big hitters the underdogs contest has always seemed a better fit for me.
I have Submitted the track i did last year called Hidden gem for the tryout round, so fingers crossed i go through to round 2. Heres the track incase you are curious http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/718237
Thats all for now.

I have done a couple already and plan to do them on a regular basis. Ideal for anyone starting out. The plan is to keep them short and sweet and to the point.

This is new territory for me as I have been a guitarist for going on 10 years and a friend asked me to create a track for his game coming to android. I have never had a great interest in the recording of music, any music I have created as a band had always been done at a recording studio.
I decided this was a good excuse for me to give the home recording a try and I must admit I think it was him doing me the favour, since I have discovered a whole new realm of musical creativity that I didn't think would be possible for me.
