This is awesome bud. I love the chiptune/dance blend, something i like to do myself. Those arps are killer! Good stuff keep it up.

NoStereo responds:

Thanks man! Arps are my favorite >:)

I quite like this, Real faction has a good point about some of the synths though, but i bet you could fix them up a bit with some clever Eq. I like the progressions/melodic content, they are interesting to listen to. Some part around 3.00 where there's a space felt kinda awkward but in places like that where you want to transition i would recommend a riser and some drum fills to build it up a bit. I hear your using mixcraft, i never tryed that but i think its probably more suited to live instruments guitars etc. look into fl in the future you wont regret it. Overall some cool ideas. Keep at it and chin up!

Thanks for the review!
I would love to use FL. However, it is way out of reach of me, way too expensive. >:
Jeez, apparently the transition around 3:00 is awkward. I must be cursed to like it. >.<;
I guess It could've used more build.

Mixcraft really is better suited for Live Instruments, thats when it really is awesome, however, I can only play guitar really, and not that well, and I can't sing worth a shit. >:

I really wish I was a better musician,

love it man.

Wicked, sounds like something that would fit in mario sunshine.

This has a nice dark atmosphere with a blend of like reggae/ska and dubstep then transitions into more of a drum and bass vibe. That cant be an easy thing to pull off tbh. The beats are excellent and it sounds very well mixed. I wasnt that keen on the way it ended. Good job son!

Sequenced responds:

I agree, I wasn't sure how to end this tbh.

also, there was some trap influence too :P

the mix sounds nice and clear and i love that snare! too bad about what happened with your computer...I like the song but it is a bit plain in places and like the other guy said could do with some vocals, even if its just a few chopped up samples..

JackLiddle responds:

Thanks for your feedback! I think I'll take your advice and experiment with some vocals in there. I got the full version of FL Studio 11 now, so I'm going to try and re-create this bit-by-bit. Took me about 12 hours to get it to this stage, so it's not that long to spend :D I'm looking forward to finishing this and I'll re-upload it when everything's done. Hope you can listen to the final version!

Nice track bud. All the synths sound really sweet, Its not drum and basss though, which is a bit misleading..Cant really fault the song though, only thing i would like to add is that to me the snare sounds a bit on the weak side and gets a bit drowned out by some of the synths.

This is kinda hard to give feedback on as i kinda get the impression you were trying out new things and applying them as you went along, and it does show in this. The stucture of this to me is kinda incoherent and difficult to follow it kinda needs a good flow. In places the drums are way too loud and if im honest i dont like the melody, it hurts my head lol buti can appreciate your just starting out :)

Exilious responds:

Thanks! What you said is true because I actually was trying out something new I saw in a tutorial and was still trying to find a way to implement it into a song. So it was a messy because I was having trouble trying to find a suitable way to fit it in. I'm working on it though.

Not a bad tune to be honest, it does have quite an orginal feel to it and kinda leaves the listener guessing, or at least it did with me lol. The synths all sound pretty good. I think a few things that let it down a bit would be the snare and the kick, they sound quite weak and overpowered in this and it especially shows in the intro when they first make an appearance.
Try layering the snare with another snare or even a clap and mix/EQ them accordingly also dont be afraid to add a little reverb to your snare it can do wonders!. The kick needs more low end thump imo so you could consider boosting the low frequencies a little.
Another thing here is your transition where it builds up at around 1.03 it needs more instruments behind it to support the build up in my opinion to give it more power and anticipation for example a rising pitched lead or a white noise sweep etc. Overall a good attempt, keep rocking mate.

Exilious responds:

Thanks for the review my good man! I see what you mean in reference to the build up. That song was my first time doing it because I learned out how. I was trying to use the matter of frequency in the kicks to accompany the white noise in order to make the build up sound a little more fuller and professional. I will definitely be sure to watch out and change up the reverb in some instruments. I kinda have search up what it is exactly. XD Also, It's always a bit complicated for me to add in beats to accompany the melody. My goal is always something simplistic, but I can never seem to maintain that. I wanna be able to have a memorable melody with a simple beat. To me, that is the ideal song.

This sounds sick dude! all the melody's sound nice and the drums fit nicely in the music. I found the way the track started a bit too sudden with nothing there to ease you in so i think if it was me i would alter that bit but otherwise great stuff!
